HANDYMEN R’ US EARNS coveted ANGIE”S LIST SUPER SERVICE AWARD FOR THE SIXTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Handymen R’ Us, of Oklahoma City, one of the largest Handyman/Remodeling Companies in the greater Oklahoma City area, has once again been awarded the prestigious Angie’s List Super Service Award. This makes the 6th consecutive year that Handymen R’ Us has received the award.    The award is an honor bestowed annually on approximately just 5 percent of all the businesses rated by the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews on local service and health providers.    “Only a fraction of the businesses rated on Angie’s List can claim the sterling service record of being a Super Service Award winner because we set a high bar,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “The fact that Handymen R’ Us can claim Super Service Award status speaks volumes about its dedication to consumers.”    Vic Vickers, Founder and President of Handymen R’ Us said that he believes their consistently good service comes as a result of assigning the right person to review the Project and then Vic sends out a Free Estimate with a firm price bid. Bids are structured so customers will know up front exactly what a Project will cost no surprises!    For other than major remodel Projects etc., Handymen’s payment policy is built upon a relationship of mutual trust between business and customer. Vic’s famous saying is “you trust us to do a good job for you and we trust you to pay us when we do.” Handymen R’ Us is insured and bonded.    Handymen R’ Us reached a milestone this year by celebrating their 20th year in business. They’ve seen many competitors come and go. Vic stated that “Handymen set a record sales year in 2012 and I expect 2013 to beat it substantially.” We’ve done a lot of commercial remodeling projects this past year.    Vic, CAPS, UD&B certified, has completed some of the courses offered by the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association to better equip him for Handymen’s mission- “Helping our valued customers stay in their homes longer by making their homes safe, secure, and beautiful.” These courses include Certified Aging in Place Specialist and Universal Build and Design. Considering that the general population is staying alive longer, they also want to remain in their homes longer and not have to go to an assisted living center. This translates to much more than adding grab bars and ramps. It may include making door openings wider and as we age, we require three times the amount of light than we used to need. Staying in your own home longer makes financial sense also as it is normally much cheaper to remodel your existing home than relocating to an assisted living center and paying several thousand dollars per month. Handymen R’ Us has a good working relationship with some financial lenders that can work with their customers in providing financial assistance for remodeling projects.    Vic is a charter member of OILR (Oklahoma Independent Living Resources) a non-profit organization made up of other business people whose main objective is to help our aging population by being a One Source Information Provider. More info is available by calling them at 405-219-0884.  Handymen R’ Us can be reached for a Free Estimate as follows: 405-670-1733 or by email at handymanok@aol.com.
